
It has been nearly ten months since 13-year-old Sa’Wade Birdinground vanished from her family home on the Crow Indian Reservation in Garryowen, Montana. She was last seen around 11:00 p.m. on October 6, 2024. Her phone was left behind, making the disappearance even more concerning. Now, with her 14th birthday just around the corner, her loved ones remain desperate for answers.
Sa’Wade’s father, Wade Birdinground, describes her as a “grandma’s girl” and an awesome person with a great heart. He says she enjoys being at home, and leaving without notice is out of character.
Wade Birdinground’s Message to Sa’Wade:
“Sa’Wade, please come home. There are a lot of people looking for you because they love you. I love you and I just want you home. You are not in trouble but we just want you home, safe and alive.”

The FBI is investigating Sa’Wade’s disappearance alongside the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office and Crow BIA law enforcement. Searches have included ground, water, drones, K-9 units, horses, and four-wheelers. The FBI is offering a reward up to $5,000 for information leading to Sa’Wade’s recovery.
